The Seclusion Retreat offers a peaceful forest setting for inspirational group retreats and quiet personal renewal. Set on 72 remote acres just beyond Ananda Village, this retreat provides a relaxed, focused environment where individuals and groups can step away from daily distractions and reconnect with what is most meaningful.

Here, the natural rhythm of the land supports reflection, harmony, and inner balance. Guests come to share a beautiful and uplifting environment, learn together, and cultivate a more harmonious energy to bring back into their communities, workplaces, and paths of service.

Located approximately two hours from both Reno and Sacramento, The Seclusion Retreat has welcomed seekers from around the world for decades and remains a simple, affordable option for contemplative retreat experiences.

A Sanctuary for Stillness and Depth

Life at The Seclusion Retreat unfolds at a slower pace. The simplicity of the surroundings, the quiet of the forest, and the absence of distraction naturally support inward focus and presence.

This campus is especially well suited for retreats centered on meditation, silence, prayer, yoga, spiritual study, and personal transformation. Many guests experience the land itself as an active support for their practice, offering calm, clarity, and gentle inspiration throughout their stay.
