Sometimes we don’t need or want a whole meal. Smoothies can help keep our bodies feeling fueled, but light – especially as we enter the warmer months.

Below are some current staff favorites to try. Most recipes can easily be modified to suit your taste or needs as well- so consider these as a starting point for your own creation!

Allie’s Cleansing Green Drink

1 Cucumber, peeled

5 Stalks Celery

Juice of 1 Lemon

1 TB grated Ginger

1/2 cup Cilantro Leaves

Blend above ingredients together in the blender and enjoy!

Anandi’s  Yummy Simple Smoothie:

1 ripe freckled banana (preferably pre-frozen) cut into chunks

1 cup milk of your choice (Can be soy, almond, rice or dairy- use more if you would like a thinner drink)

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ginger

1/4 tsp cardamon

Blend together in blender until smooth

Susan’s Super Green drink:

For a more bracing option:

1 cup chopped kale (Can also substitute other mild greens like spinach)

1 cup milk or yogurt of your choice (I use vanilla)

1 small banana

You can also add  1-2 TB of almonds, almond butter or protein powder, or some blueberries 

Blend everything together well

Get your Greens Vitality drink:

This variation is lemony and a can seem a little bitter, but your body will say”thank you!!”

1 cup chopped kale (Can also substitute other greens like spinach)

3/4 cup chopped parsley

1 cup water

Blend above ingredients together in blender (and strain or not as desired)

Add the juice of 1/2 lemon or to taste

Lallah’s Caribbean Peanut Punch (yes it is a smoothie!)

1 1/2 cups almond milk

1 banana

1 Heaping TB peanut butter

Pinch of nutmeg

Pinch of ginger powder (optional)

Blend together and enjoy!
