Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and may affect your ability to travel to The Expanding Light Retreat or The Seclusion Retreat as you had planned. The following guidelines are intended to balance flexibility for our guests with the administrative and staffing commitments required to host retreats.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling made 7 or more days prior to arrival: We will refund your payment in full, less a $55 non-refundable processing fee.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling made within 7 days of arrival: Your deposit will be held as a credit valid for one year, less the $55 processing fee. Any amount paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.
  • Refunds: All refunds are issued to the original credit card used for payment.
  • Program cancellations made by us: In the event of extreme circumstances (such as severe weather) requiring us to cancel a program, guests may choose either a full refund or a full credit toward a future stay.
  • Room changes after arrival: If you wish to change rooms after arrival, we will do our best to accommodate the request based on availability. A $15 housekeeping fee applies to room changes.

Smoking/Marijuana Policy

Drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited from our campus, including marijuana use.

Smoking cigarettes (including e-cigarettes) is allowable outside on the asphalt parking lot only. Smoking in or near any of our buildings are strictly prohibited.

Respect for Fellow Guests

Living in spiritual community is a treasured part of the retreat experience. We ask all guests to help foster a harmonious, respectful environment, especially in shared spaces.

Please honor quiet hours, keep belongings tidy, and communicate with kindness. Simple acts of mindfulness—such as respecting sound or scent sensitivities and honoring boundaries—help ensure that all guests feel at ease.

If any concerns arise during your stay, our team is here to support you. We’re happy to help create a solution that ensures a comfortable, uplifting experience for everyone.

Quietude & Shared Room Policy

Snoring and CPAP Machines

To support a restful environment for all guests, we kindly ask that those who snore or use CPAP machines reserve private accommodations rather than shared rooms.

If snoring or CPAP use becomes disruptive and a room reassignment is needed, we’ll do our best to support a smooth transition. Please note that in such cases, you will be responsible for the full private room rate, pending availability.

Thank you for helping us maintain the peaceful atmosphere that supports everyone’s retreat experience. If you have questions before booking, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to help you find the accommodation that best fits your needs.

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed on campus. We do allow service animals and will ask for certification.
